Efficient Cooling Automatically.
Ratnik Air-Cooled Compressed Air Aftercooling Systems provide efficient cooling of compressed air automatically to within degrees of the freezing point. Ratnik Air-Cooled Aftercooler Systems are compatible with a wide variety of compressed air installations. Each system is custom engineered based on compressor specifications and air plant capacity. Hot, moist compressed air is circulated through a large radiator while a variable speed fan unit passes cool, ambient air over it. A temperature sensor and fan control unit maintains a constant discharge temperature. Cooled compressed air is then passed through a vane type moisture separator to remove moisture and reduce freezing in downstream piping.
Benefits:
Cool your compressed air to 37°F (2.8°C) in all snowmaking conditions.
Automatic controls and variable speed fans maintain constant discharge temperature with very little operator supervision.
Coolest discharge temperature of any similarly-sized aftercooler system.
Cooler air reduces moisture content of compressed air and enhances snowmaking performance.
The Ratnik vane type moisture separator is proven to be 4 to 5 times more effective than centrifugal separators in field tests.
Eliminate the use of cooling water from ponds and streams.
Reduce environmental impact by eliminating discharge of warm water into rivers and streams.
Custom designed control packages simplify installation and operation.
Pressure drops of 1.5 PSI (.10 KG per CM/2) or less are available.
Installed and operating successfully at many ski areas in a wide variety of compressor installations.
